Following a successful November launch with over 1 million sales and positive Steam reviews, STALKER 2 faced criticism regarding its numerous bugs, particularly A-Life 2.0, the AI system responsible for simulating life within the game world. Optimization and Crash Fixes: Over 100 crash fixes related to EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION and memory leaks have been implemented. Performance improvements address FPS drops during boss fights and menu navigation.

Under the Hood Improvements: Numerous behind-the-scenes improvements enhance visual fidelity (flashlight shadows), game logic (NPC relationships, quest progression), and controller support.

Story and Quest Fixes: A significant number of fixes target the main storyline and side missions, resolving issues with NPC spawning, quest progression, dialogue triggers, and overall mission logic. Specific missions affected include Wishful Thinking, Three Captains, Visions of Truth, Shock Therapy, On the Edge, and many more. Over 300 quest-related issues have been addressed.

Side Missions and Encounters: Fixes address issues with repeatable missions, encounter spawns, faction relationships, and loot distribution.

The Zone Improvements: This section includes level design improvements, artifact spawning adjustments, anomaly fixes, and visual enhancements across multiple locations.

Player Gear and State: Fixes address issues with player animations, anomaly interactions, gear upgrades, and inventory management.

Player Guidance and Game Settings: Numerous improvements enhance user experience (UX), including map tooltips, HUD elements, keybindings, and controller support.

Audio, Cutscenes, and VO: Fixes address issues with cutscene animations, voiceover synchronization, and sound effects across various locations and game events.
