Uncover the Lost Galaxy in Astro Bot Rescue Mission: A Comprehensive Guide to Finding All 10 Hidden Portals

Astro Bot Rescue Mission offers players a vast array of explorable worlds. Beyond the standard levels, however, lies a hidden tenth world, the Lost Galaxy. Access to this secret area is granted only by discovering ten cleverly concealed portals scattered throughout the game's main levels. This guide pinpoints the location of each portal and details how to unlock them.

Look for the swirling icon: Each level containing a Lost Galaxy portal is marked with a distinctive swirling icon on the level select screen. This serves as your first clue.

Hidden Portal Locations:

1. Az-Tech Trail:

Mid-level, locate a dark chamber with four lit torches surrounding a wall. Utilize the Twin-Frog Gloves to extinguish all four flames. This action will reveal the hidden portal.

2. Creamy Canyon:

Early in the level, you'll encounter a snowy arena with a ladybug enemy. Proceed past the ladybug to a charging pig. Grab the pig and swing it towards an icy statue. The pig's impact will shatter the statue. Backtrack, maneuver past the ladybug, and bounce to a higher platform. Perform a charged spin attack to access the room containing the portal.

3. Go-Go Archipelago:

After defeating Captain Pincher, locate his embedded claw. A glowing area nearby indicates a spot for a charged spin attack. Drill into the ground to uncover a secret room and the portal.

4. Downsize Surprise:

Towards the level's end, find a bubble-blowing frog. Blow into your controller to activate the bubbles. Shrink your size and ride a bubble to a branch above a bot (you might need to switch bubbles). From there, navigate to the opposite branch to find the portal.

5. Free Big Brother!:

This is arguably the easiest portal to locate. At the level's start, turn around and find a few platforms with an electric enemy. Lure the enemy to electrocute the platforms, revealing the portal behind.

6. Bathhouse Battle:

Find the house with a flaming chimney. After absorbing water, climb to the roof and extinguish the flames. Descend through the chimney to discover the portal.

7. Hieiroglitch Pyramid:

At the level's conclusion, turn right to an area with falling jewels. Use a bounce pad to reach an area with a hidden portal. A trap will activate; find the hidden switches in two walls to open the pathway.

8. Balloon Breeze:

This is the most challenging portal. Obtain the pufferfish power-up and backtrack to an area near the start with a distant platform and a ladybug enemy. Use the ladybug to reach the platform, activate the pufferfish, and use Astro's hover to reach the platform. Use motion controls to clear bamboo surrounding the portal and activate it by running its perimeter.

9. Djinny of the Lamp:

After defeating Djinny, climb the ruins. Invisible platforms are indicated by glowing ground. Hover to each platform, then use a rug to reach the final platform with the portal.

10. Frozen Meal:

Before the boss fight, roll a snowball into a large ball and use it as a platform to reach the cliffside, where the final portal awaits.
