Wuthering Waves Version 2.7 Arrives With New Story, Characters

Are you still exploring the world of version 2.6? Kuro Games has just unveiled the next major update for Wuthering Waves. Version 2.7, titled "Dawn Breaks on Dark Tides," sets sail in October. Announced during the latest Preview Special, this update delivers two new Resonators, fresh story chapters, additional Echoes, limited-time events, system optimizations, and various quality-of-life improvements.

The main narrative continues with Chapter II Act X: The Bygone Shall Always Return and Chapter II Act XI: Dawn Breaks on Dark Tides, complemented by the new afterstory "A Stranger in a Strange Land." These quests advance the overarching plot while weaving in the enigmatic new Resonators, Galbrena and Qiuyuan, who will debut in separate featured Convene banners.

Prepare for enhanced combat with new Echoes, including nightmare variants of the Viridblaze Saurian and Baby Roseshroom. The Flamewing’s Shadow Sonata set also arrives, empowering heavy attacks and Echo skill synergy. Just in time for the Halloween season, a fresh Tactical Hologram challenge, "Lioness of Glory," awaits.

A full slate of new events will keep players engaged throughout the update. "Lament Recon" presents Solaris Soldier combat trials, "Freeze Frame" rewards creative in-game photography, and "Gifts of Approaching Dawn" offers daily login bonuses. Seasonal activities feature the "Lollo Campaign: Ice Savior" and the platforming challenge "Septimont Weather Forecast."

New weapons join the arsenal as well, with Lux & Umbra and Emerald Sentence headlining featured Weapon Convene phases. They will be featured alongside Wildfire Mark in the first half of the update, followed by Blazing Justice in the second. Quality-of-life refinements include a Resonator Ascension Planner, an improved Quest system, a streamlined event menu, and expanded visual customization options.
