The Pokemon Company Issues Statement on Pokemon TCG Prismatic Evolutions Shortage

The Pokémon Company addresses ongoing shortages of its highly anticipated Scarlet and Violet—Prismatic Evolutions trading card game expansion. Acknowledging widespread supply issues impacting global availability, the company issued a statement expressing gratitude for fans' patience.

The statement confirmed that reprints of Prismatic Evolutions products are currently underway and will soon be distributed to licensed retailers. While the exact timeframe for increased availability remains unspecified, the company emphasized its commitment to maximizing production capacity to meet the exceptionally high demand. The statement refrained from directly addressing speculation regarding scalping as a contributing factor, attributing the shortages solely to "high demand."

Beyond the reprints, the Pokémon Company announced additional Prismatic Evolutions products launching throughout 2025. These include a Mini Tin and Surprise Box (February 7th), a Booster Bundle and Accessory Pouch Special Collection (March 7th and April 25th, respectively), a Super-Premium Collection (May 16th), and a Premium Figure Collection (September 26th). Players of the Pokémon TCG Live mobile game can also obtain Prismatic Evolutions cards via the Battle Pass starting January 16th. This staggered release strategy aims to provide ongoing access to the popular expansion's contents.
