Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 Leak Hints at Free 4-Star Character Selector

A recent leak suggests Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 will include a free 4-star character selector, potentially as part of a limited-time event. This selector would allow players to choose one of four characters: Qingque, Pela, Serval, or Asta.

This news comes as Honkai: Star Rail's 3.0 update approaches, introducing new gameplay features and characters. While the game boasts a diverse roster of 23 4-star characters, many have been overshadowed by newer, more meta-relevant units. However, some 4-stars, like Moze and Gallagher, have gained popularity due to their versatility, though often require significant Eidolon investment to reach their full potential. Past updates (Versions 2.1 and 2.7) offered free character selectors to help players acquire Eidolons, and this leak indicates a similar event is planned for Version 3.1.

The leaked selector features characters released during the 1.0 cycle, including Asta, a character readily available early in the game. This aligns with earlier rumors suggesting an upcoming focus on 5-star characters, potentially indicating a reduced release rate for new 4-star units in the near future.

The potential selector characters and their attributes are:

• Qingque: Quantum, Erudition
• Pela: Ice, Nihility
• Serval: Lightning, Erudition
• Asta: Fire, Harmony

While Pela and Asta have maintained their utility as support characters, Qingque and Serval have fallen behind newer DPS units. Furthermore, all four are purchasable in the in-game store.
