Nvidia Unveils RTX 50 Series GPUs with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation at CES 2025
Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote showcased the RTX 50 series GPUs, featuring groundbreaking DLSS 4 technology with Multi-Frame Generation, boosting FPS significantly. Initially exclusive to the RTX 50 series, this enhancement will be supported by 75 games and applications at launch, including titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Marvel Rivals.
The RTX 50 series, codenamed Blackwell, builds upon the Ada Lovelace architecture, improving upon existing DLSS capabilities. Multi-Frame Generation, a key feature of DLSS 4, promises a substantial FPS increase compared to previous Frame Generation technology. The flagship model, the RTX 5090, boasts 32GB of GDDR7 memory and a starting price of $1,999. Other models include the RTX 5080 ($999), RTX 5070 Ti ($749), and RTX 5070 ($549).
Nvidia demonstrated the impact of DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation using Cyberpunk 2077. With ray tracing enabled and DLSS/Multi-Frame Generation disabled, the game struggled to maintain 30 FPS on the RTX 5090. However, activating these features resulted in a remarkable jump to 236 FPS.
The impressive list of 75 launch-ready games includes:

While DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation will initially be exclusive to the RTX 50 series, Nvidia confirmed that enhanced DLSS features (Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and DLAA) will also come to older RTX 40 series cards via future driver updates. Future titles, such as Doom: The Dark Ages, will also leverage Multi-Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction.
