Echo Detector - The Basic Detector
The Echo Detector is your starting equipment in Stalker 2. This small, yellow device features a central light tube that pulses when an artifact is nearby. The pulse rate and beeping frequency increase as you approach the artifact. While functional, pinpointing the artifact's exact location can be time-consuming.
Bear Detector - An Improved Echo
Acquired either during the "A Sign of Hope" side mission or from a vendor, the Bear Detector surpasses the Echo Detector. It provides a visual distance indicator. Concentric rings around the display illuminate progressively as you get closer to the artifact. Full illumination signifies you're directly above the artifact's spawn point.
Hilka Detector - Precision Detection
Obtained during the "Mysterious Case" side mission from Sultan, the Hilka Detector is more advanced. It uses numerical readings to indicate proximity to the artifact. Decreasing numbers mean you're getting closer.
Veles Detector - The Ultimate Artifact Finder
The Veles Detector, the best in Stalker 2, is a reward for completing the "In Search of Past Glory" main mission. Its radar display precisely pinpoints the artifact's location within the anomalous field, also highlighting dangerous anomalies in the vicinity.
