StopotS is a popular categories game, also known as Scattergories, "City Country River," or simply Stop.
The game begins by selecting categories—for example, Names, Animals, Objects, and so on. Once chosen, a random letter is revealed, starting a new round. Players must fill each category with a word beginning with that letter. The first player to complete all categories shouts "STOP!" immediately halting all other players. Players then vote on the validity of each answer. Correct answers earn 10 points, repeated answers 5 points, and incorrect answers 0 points. This continues until a predetermined number of rounds are completed.
