Simple Hex

Dive into the engaging world of SimpleHex, a two-player connection game that's easy to learn but challenging to master. In SimpleHex, players select either red or blue and take turns filling in a single empty cell on the game board. The objective is to create a continuous path of your colored cells connecting opposite sides of the board designated by your color. The first player to achieve this connection wins the game.

SimpleHex offers versatile play modes including "Play with AI," "Play with Friends," and "Pass & Play." When playing against the AI, you can choose from three difficulty levels: easy, medium, and hard. The AI can play as either the first or second player. Alternatively, you can opt for "Play with Friends" to compete against a friend on a different device or use "Pass & Play" for local multiplayer action.

If you're not satisfied with your last move, you can use the undo button, though this feature is currently unavailable in the AI version. To balance the game, SimpleHex introduces the "Steal Move" option, allowing the second player to switch positions with the first player after the first move. This feature, however, is not available in the AI version.

To cater to players of all skill levels, SimpleHex offers three board sizes: 7x7, 9x9, and 11x11. These sizes allow players to gradually progress to more complex versions of the game. The current AI version employs a technique known as 'stable' unbounded best-first minimax, enhancing the game's challenge and enjoyment.
