Xbox Game Pass Losing 6 Games Today, Including 3 Great Multiplayer Titles

Six Xbox Game Pass titles, including Exoprimal and Escape Academy, are departing on January 15th, likely around midnight local time. This removal affects roughly half of the games' multiplayer functionality.

The Xbox Game Pass library sees a regular reduction every 15 days, typically mid-month and at the end of the month. The previous removal occurred on December 31st. This latest wave includes: Escape Academy, Those Who Remain, Exoprimal, Insurgency: Sandstorm, Figment: Journey Into the Mind, and Common'hood.

Half of the departing games feature multiplayer options. Escape Academy, notably, offers a well-received co-op mode and enjoyed the longest tenure on Game Pass, having been added in July 2022.

Escape Academy's Continued Availability

While leaving Xbox Game Pass, Escape Academy will be free on the Epic Games Store starting January 16th. Removal times from Xbox Game Pass vary, but most games are removed near the end of the scheduled day.

The next wave of removals is anticipated on January 31st, with details expected alongside the January 2025 Wave 2 lineup. Confirmed day-one additions for January 2025 include Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, Eternal Strands, Sniper Elite: Resistance, and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector. Further announcements are anticipated around January 23rd, coinciding with the 2025 Xbox Developer Direct.
