Universe for Sale Is a New Visual Novel Set in a Bizarre Bazaar on Planet Jupiter

Akupara Games and Tmesis Studio's latest adventure game, Universe for Sale, is now available. Akupara Games has already released several captivating titles this year, including The Darkside Detective series and Zoeti.

Is the Universe Actually for Sale?

The game unfolds on a Jupiter space station, a bizarre marketplace shrouded in acid rain and mystery. Here, witty orangutans manage the docks, and cultists barter flesh for enlightenment.

Lila, a woman capable of effortlessly creating universes from her hand, is at the heart of this cosmic commerce.

The game begins in a dilapidated mining colony shantytown. You play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment—a character both unsettling and intriguing.

Exploring the ramshackle colony, filled with quirky tea shops and other unusual establishments, you eventually discover Honin's Tea House, Lila's shop. The mystery surrounding Lila gradually unfolds as you shift between her perspective and the Master's throughout the game.

Playing as Lila allows you to create universes in a captivating mini-game, blending ingredients to generate mesmerizing visual worlds. Meanwhile, the Master's journey delves into the philosophies of the Cult of Detachment and encounters with the Church of Many Gods.

The narrative unfolds gradually, prompting players to theorize about the unfolding events. Every character, be it human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, and the richly detailed world invites exploration of every corner.
