Great news for fans of the Uma Musume Pretty Derby anime! Cygames has confirmed an official English version of its popular horse-girl racing simulation game. A Japanese version already boasts excellent reviews, and now global audiences can join the fun.
What's New?
Cygames has launched an official English website, YouTube channel, and X (formerly Twitter) account to keep fans updated on the global release. This ensures regular communication and updates for international players.
For the Uninitiated:
Uma Musume Pretty Derby is part of a larger multimedia franchise encompassing anime, manga, and more. Its popularity stems largely from the success of the anime series. Originally released in Japan and Asia in February 2021 for Android and iOS, the game features horse girls—racehorses reincarnated as girls—competing in the "Twinkle Series," a national sports entertainment event, to become top idols.
While a global release date remains unannounced, the game's presence in other global titles like Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (featuring Gold Ship) hints at future crossovers once the English version launches. Expect more collaborations once the English version is available.
When's the Release?
The English version of Uma Musume Pretty Derby will be free-to-play on Android and iOS. Check the official website for updates on the release date.
In the meantime, a playable demo of the English version will be available at Anime Expo 2024 (July 4th-7th) at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Don't miss out!
