Themis Event Unveils New MR Cards in Ballad of the Dunes

HoYoverse has unveiled an exciting new update for *Tears of Themis* titled the "Ballad of the Dunes," a collaborative event with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism. This crossover event seamlessly blends the allure of detective work with the vibrant cultural heritage of Dunhuang, a city nestled on the edge of the Gobi Desert.

What Does Ballad of the Dunes Bring to Tears of Themis?

The "Ballad of the Dunes" event immerses players in a world where history, romance, and mystery intertwine amidst the sands of time. Players will solve intriguing mysteries set against the backdrop of the ancient Silk Road. Here’s a detailed look at the new content:

The event introduces four new MR cards, each representing one of the main characters—Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius. These cards are inspired by various cultural elements of Dunhuang, showcasing flying apsaras, detailed murals, and the iconic back-played pipa, reminiscent of the ancient performers found in the Mogao Caves. The Silk Road, a historic trade route from the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD), comes alive in this digital rendition.

Each card narrates its own unique story: Luke’s "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem’s "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn’s "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius’s "Void of Creation." Additionally, these cards offer Private Messages that delve into a journey spanning a thousand years.

What Are the Rewards?

From February 13th to February 20th, 2025, players can earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and various other rewards by completing event tasks. The main challenge involves flipping cells on a game board to reveal rewards. The highlight of the event is the chance to win the "Ballad of the Dunes" MR card pack, allowing players to choose one of the four MR cards as their ultimate reward in each round. Flipping 100 cells grants the exclusive "Celebration – Dunes" Namecard.
