Hazelight's beloved co-op adventure, Split Fiction, has achieved a remarkable sales milestone, reaching nearly four million copies sold. This impressive figure was announced by publisher EA in its recent financial results, highlighting the game's "hugely successful launch" as a key factor in their strong finish to the 2025 fiscal year.

The developer, Hazelight, expressed their excitement on social media, stating, "4 MILLION SOLD!!!! So many of you have picked up Split Fiction already, it’s amazing… Seeing the fun you have with our game and the love you show for Mio, Zoe, and each other warms our hearts here at Hazelight. And so many hot dogs made…"

Play**Split Fiction** immerses players in the imaginative realms crafted by two fiction writers. This groundbreaking co-op adventure enables two players to enjoy the game together, even if only one person owns it. Launched in March, **Split Fiction** quickly became a hit for Hazelight and its visionary designer, Josef Fares, selling over two million copies within its first week. The game is also slated to be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2, as Hazelight continues to develop its next project.

In addition to its gaming success, Split Fiction is set to expand into the film industry. Story Kitchen, known for their work on the Sonic films, is currently assembling a team of writers, a director, and a cast that includes Sydney Sweeney for a movie adaptation of the game.

Our review at IGN praised Split Fiction as "an expertly crafted and absorbing co-op adventure that pinballs from one genre extreme to another." We noted that the game offers "a rollercoaster of gameplay ideas and styles that are usually discarded as quickly as they’re introduced," keeping the experience "fabulously fresh for its full, 14-hour duration."
