Spider-Man Swings into 'Marvel Snap' for Exclusive Season

With August behind us, and the Young Avengers departing the scene, Marvel Snap (Free) is ready for its next season! This season's theme? The Amazing Spider-Season! While Bonesaw remains absent (for now!), exciting new cards and locations await. Let's dive in!

This season introduces a game-changing card mechanic: Activate. Unlike "On Reveal," Activate abilities can be triggered at any point during your turn, providing strategic flexibility and bypassing certain "On Reveal" counters. The Season Pass card fully utilizes this new mechanic, promising exciting gameplay. For a detailed look at the season launch, check out the video below:

Symbiote Spider-Man, the Season Pass card, is a 4-cost, 6-power powerhouse. His Activate ability absorbs the lowest-cost card at his location and copies its text, even re-triggering "On Reveal" effects. Expect some crazy combinations, especially with Galactus! Its power level might warrant a nerf later in the season.

Let's explore the other additions: Silver Sable (1-cost, 1-power) steals two power from the top card of your opponent's deck upon reveal. Madame Web (Ongoing) lets you move one card at her location per turn.

Arana (1-cost, 1-power) is another Activate card. Activating her moves the next card you play to the right and boosts its power by 2, making her ideal for move-based decks. Finally, Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly), a 4-cost, 5-power card, uses his Activate ability to create an exact clone at another location.

Two new locations join the fray. The Brooklyn Bridge, a classic Spider-Man setting, restricts card placement to once every two turns. Otto's Lab mirrors Otto's own chaotic nature, pulling a card from your opponent's hand to the location when a card is played there.

This season delivers a fresh wave of intriguing cards and the innovative "Activate" ability, creating exciting strategic depth.
