Following last year's thrilling competition, the Roland-Garros eSeries is making a grand return in 2025, inviting players globally to compete on the virtual clay courts of Tennis Clash. This year's tournament introduces an exciting team-based format, led by legendary tennis captains, and boasts an impressive €5,000 prize pool.
Renault and Mastercard are back as key sponsors, enhancing the event with exclusive customization options. Players can now don official Roland-Garros 2025 outfits and wield the special Renault 5 Roland-Garros string, adding a unique touch to their gameplay experience.
When Does It Start?
The Roland-Garros eSeries is set to commence in March, with the open qualifiers serving as the initial battleground for players to earn a spot in the finals. The qualifying stages are scheduled from March 6-11, March 20-25, and April 3-8, paving the way for the elite contenders to emerge.
The top female players from the first two qualifiers will join the overall winners in the finals. The ultimate showdown will take place at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum Auditorium on May 24th, with a live audience and a global stream on Twitch.
What’s New This Year?
A significant change for 2025 is the introduction of a team-based format, replacing the traditional solo competition. Finalists will be organized into teams, each led by a prominent figure in French tennis. Gilles Simon, former ATP world No. 6 and Davis Cup champion, is confirmed as one of the team captains. Simon, who has been a commentator since 2023 and competed in 2024's Top 8, will coach one of the squads. The identity of the rival captain remains a mystery, but it's teased to be a Grand Slam winner.
