Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Edition Update After Six Years

Rockstar, the mastermind behind the GTA series, has just released an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. After a six-year hiatus, this update is a pleasant surprise for fans, but it's exclusively available for mobile users, not for console or PC players.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

Bully: Anniversary Edition's latest update brings several enhancements, including new language support, stability improvements, and a host of bug fixes. Notably, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges as part of this update.

For Android users with compatible devices, the update introduces Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), updates the app icon, and adds haptic feedback on both iOS and Android platforms.

Several mission-specific issues have been addressed, such as the locker-picking problem in 'That Bitch', the progression glitch in 'Weed Killer' due to early window breaking, and the infamous sinking police cars in 'The Rumble'. Additionally, the update corrects the behavior of enemies who previously wouldn't engage Jimmy in combat, making fights more balanced. It also fixes crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

The fanbase has been clamoring for Bully 2 for years, yet Rockstar appears to be focused elsewhere. Rumors suggested that a sequel was in development during the 2010s, but it was reportedly shelved to prioritize Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online.

With GTA 6 now in the pipeline, the prospects for Bully 2 seem dim, especially with many of the original developers having moved on from Rockstar. While this new update isn't a remaster or a sequel, it's a significant upgrade for mobile players.

For those unfamiliar with Bully, it's Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game. You step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old troublemaker navigating the challenges of Bullworth Academy. The game is infused with Rockstar's signature humor and open-world antics.

You can dive into Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store for €7.99. The game also supports full gamepad functionality, enhancing the mobile gaming experience.
