Flat2VR Studios has exciting news for fans of the classic trash shooter, Postal 2, which first hit the shelves 22 years ago. They've announced a virtual reality adaptation, bringing the game's trademark humor and chaotic gameplay into the immersive world of VR. The debut trailer showcases the protagonist, the Dude, as he gathers signatures to support the development of Postal 2 VR, highlighting the game's unique blend of absurdity and freedom.
The developers have introduced several standout features in the remake. These include a redesigned shooting mechanic optimized for VR controllers, an updated user interface, and a refreshed mini-map system, all designed to enhance the VR experience while staying true to the game's original essence.
A dedicated Steam page for Postal 2: VR is now live, offering fans a glimpse into the game through screenshots, system requirements, and additional details. To enjoy the PC version, users will need at least Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 GPU, and 8 GB of RAM. While Russian voiceovers won't be included, the game will feature subtitles to ensure accessibility.
Despite the modern upgrades, the core experience of Postal 2 remains intact. Players will still navigate through mundane tasks like grocery shopping and returning library books, but with the freedom to dive into absolute mayhem at any moment, a hallmark of the original game.
Postal 2 VR will be available across multiple platforms, including SteamVR, PS VR2, Quest 2, and Quest 3, ensuring a wide range of players can experience the game's unique world in virtual reality.
