Pokemon TCG Pocket Pack Hourglasses: Confirmed for Future Expansions

Recent speculation suggested that the upcoming Pokemon TCG Pocket expansion would render Pack Hourglasses obsolete. However, The Pokemon Company has officially confirmed that this is incorrect. Pack Hourglasses will continue to function in future expansions, reducing booster pack opening delays by one hour, regardless of the expansion's content.

This confirmation comes as welcome news to players who have been stockpiling these valuable time-savers. The initial release of Pokemon TCG Pocket in October 2024, and the subsequent addition of the Mythical Island booster pack, led to concerns about the future utility of Pack Hourglasses, especially with another expansion anticipated in January 2025. Rumors circulated about a potential new in-game currency for expediting pack openings, but The Pokemon Company has explicitly denied this for the upcoming expansion.

Players can continue to acquire Pack Hourglasses through daily challenges and the daily Complimentary Item Set in the shop.
