The Pokémon Company has officially responded to the challenges fans have faced in obtaining recent Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) sets. In a recent statement, the company has confirmed that reprints are on the horizon and emphasized their commitment to improving product availability for fans.

The launch of the latest Pokémon TCG set, Destined Rivals, encountered several hurdles including shortages, pre-order issues, and scalping. Other sets like Prismatic Evolutions and the Blooming Waters box have also been extremely popular, making them difficult to acquire.

In a statement on the Pokémon website, The Pokémon Company (TPC) acknowledged that some fans are "experiencing difficulties purchasing certain Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) products due to very high demand impacting availability."

"We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokémon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity to address this," the statement read. "Reprinted products are expected to be available at participating retailers as soon as possible."

TPC also announced plans to "maximize production" for future TCG expansions to enhance product availability at launch, and they will "continue to reprint impacted products" to restock, including for the Pokémon Center.

In response to scalping, The Pokémon Company indirectly addressed the issue by stating that for Pokémon Center releases, it is "committed to providing a smooth purchasing experience and employ technology that helps get products into the hands of fans first and foremost." The Pokémon Center currently uses a virtual queue system for some products during high traffic periods.

"We will continue to explore measures that help create the best possible experience for Pokémon Center customers," the company said. "We’d like to thank the community for their continued support and patience as we work to deliver more Pokémon TCG products to fans."

With these assurances from The Pokémon Company, fans are hopeful that collecting and playing the Pokémon TCG will become less stressful with the arrival of new sets.
