Pokémon GO Celebrates Halloween with Hangry Morpeko

Pokémon GO's Halloween event is almost here, and Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 (with a Part 2 to follow!). Get ready for exciting features and spooky Pokémon encounters.

The event begins Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time, and runs until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

What's New?

Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially useful against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Morpeko switches between Full Belly Mode (Aura Wheel - Electric, 100 power, Attack boost) and Hangry Mode (Aura Wheel - Dark, 100 power, Attack boost) depending on its Charged Attack.

During the event, Morpeko will have an increased appearance rate in the GO Battle League's premium track, remaining available from Rank 16 onwards, though more frequent in the premium track.

Spooky Festivities!

Enjoy special Halloween decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town theme music playing nightly throughout the event.

Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event (October 22nd to November 3rd) focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Complete tasks for encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
