PlayStation Update: Vampire Survivors Arrival Confirmed

Poncle, the UK-based developer behind the popular roguelike, Vampire Survivors, has offered a further update on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 port releases. Following the May releases of the latest expansion and update, the developer clarified the anticipated launch timeframe.

Initially launched in December 2021, Vampire Survivors quickly gained critical acclaim. After a successful Nintendo Switch port, the PS4 and PS5 versions were announced in April for a summer 2024 release. While a precise release date remains unavailable, Poncle assures players it will be shared as soon as possible. The delay is attributed to the studio's unfamiliarity with PlayStation's submission processes and ongoing refinement of the Trophy system. Given the game's over 200 achievements on Steam, ensuring a seamless and rewarding Trophy experience on PlayStation is a priority.

Positive community response has followed Poncle's transparent communication. Many players expressed excitement at the prospect of earning a Platinum Trophy, a testament to the game's anticipated challenge and replayability.

The Operation Guns DLC, released May 9th, introduced Contra-inspired biomes, 11 new characters, 22 automatic weapons, and classic Konami soundtracks. A subsequent hotfix, 1.10.105 (May 16th), addressed bugs within both the base game and the new DLC.
