Hazelight Studios, known for its excellent couch co-op games, has released their latest title, Split Fiction, which continues their focus on cooperative gameplay. A burning question for many is: can you play Split Fiction solo?
Can You Play Split Fiction By Yourself?
Unfortunately, no. Like previous Hazelight titles, Split Fiction is built entirely around two-player cooperation, either online or via local couch co-op. There's no AI companion or single-player mode. The game's intricate mechanics and precise timing require two players for successful progression.
How Does the Split Fiction Friend's Pass Work?
Don't worry if you lack a partner! Hazelight's Friend's Pass allows a friend to join in the fun, regardless of platform (PlayStation, Xbox, or PC). Here's how it works:
- Own Split Fiction on any platform.
- Have your friend download the Friend's Pass on their platform.
- Send them an invite to your session.
- Enjoy the game together!
The Friend's Pass supports cross-platform play via PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA app. This makes it easy to invite friends from your EA Friends list, too. This generous system is a great way for friends to experience the game before buying their own copy.
That's all you need to know about playing Split Fiction solo (you can't!) and how to easily invite a friend to play with you. Split Fiction releases March 6th on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
