Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Gets Extra 24 Hours After PSN Outage

Author: Logan Mar 21,2025

Capcom has extended the Monster Hunter Wilds beta following a 24-hour PlayStation Network outage that disrupted the previous test. The PSN outage, which occurred on Friday, February 7th at 3 PM PT, lasted approximately 24 hours. Sony attributed the disruption to an "operational issue" and compensated PlayStation Plus subscribers with five extra days of service.

This outage impacted online gameplay, including the highly anticipated second beta for Monster Hunter Wilds, originally scheduled from February 6th to 9th. In response, Capcom has extended the next beta session by 24 hours. The new dates are:

Thursday, February 13th, 7 PM PT / Friday, February 14th, 3 AM GMT – Monday, February 17th, 6:59 PM PT / Tuesday, February 18th, 2:59 AM GMT

Capcom confirmed that players will still receive the participation bonuses offered in the full game during this extended period.

Despite the previous week's disruption, beta participants experienced the game's challenges, including battling the formidable new monster, Arkveld.

Monster Hunter Wilds officially launches on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
