Official website data reveals interesting character popularity trends in Marvel Rivals. In "quick play," Jeff reigned supreme, outpacing Venom and Cloak & Dagger. However, competitive play painted a different picture. On PC, Luna Snow, Cloak & Dagger, and Mantis dominated, while console players favored Cloak & Dagger, Penny Parker, and Mantis.

Surprisingly, despite her popularity, Mantis was also the most frequently defeated hero in competitive mode, leading on both PC and consoles, surpassing Hela, Loki, and Magic. Consoles saw a broader success story, with 14 additional characters boasting win rates exceeding 50%.

Conversely, Storm, Black Widow, and Wolverine lagged in "quick play," while Nemore held the unenviable position of least popular character in competitive modes.

Marvel Rivals, having received over 500 mods in a single month, is now facing controversy. Nexus Mods removed modifications replacing Captain America's head with images of Donald Trump and Joe Biden, sparking significant user backlash.

Nexus Mods owner, TheDarkOne, explained in a private Reddit discussion that both Trump and Biden-related mods were removed simultaneously to avoid accusations of bias. This action, however, has curiously gone largely unnoticed by YouTube gaming commentators.
