Director Ji-Won Choi recently treated Lies of P fans to a heartfelt anniversary message, hinting at upcoming DLC and a full sequel for the acclaimed steampunk Soulslike game. The message serves as a thank you to the community, highlighting the team's dedication despite the challenges faced during development.

Celebrating a Year of Lies: DLC and Beyond

A year after Lies of P's release, developer NEOWIZ shared Choi's message, emphasizing the crucial role fan support played in the DLC's creation. The director promised the DLC will expand on the base game's strengths while addressing previously identified issues. He expressed gratitude to both the fans and his team at NEOWIZ and ROUND8 Studio.

"Our goal for the Lies of P DLC and sequel is to build upon our successes while improving areas needing further development," Choi stated. "It seems simple, but maintaining focus on the fundamentals is far from easy."

First Glimpses: Concept Art and Soundtrack Snippet

The most exciting reveal came at the message's end: Choi unveiled concept art depicting P in a snowy setting, gazing at a lighthouse. This intriguing image promises a new chapter filled with the same level of danger and intrigue as the original game.

Adding to the excitement, a snippet of the DLC's soundtrack was also shared. While initially presented as "new," the track "Lisrim" by "onoken" was actually composed in 2022. NEOWIZ's ownership of both the track and a similar-themed music video (featuring a clockwork weapon and a damsel in distress) clarifies any potential copyright concerns.

DLC Release Window and Future Plans

While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch within the second half of 2024, alongside other titles including The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.

Further fueling anticipation, Choi previously shared an eight-minute video showcasing early concept art, revealing environments such as a massive industrial facility and a treacherous shipwreck.
