Konami producer Noriaki Okamura recently hinted to IGN about the possibility of a Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots remake within MGS Master Collection Vol. 2, along with ports for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and potentially other platforms. While acknowledging the fervent fan speculation, Okamura remained coy about concrete details. He stated that Konami is considering the future of the series and couldn't offer specifics yet.

The possibility of MGS4, a PS3 exclusive, appearing in Master Collection Vol. 2 has captivated fans. The successful release of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, featuring remastered versions of the first three games for next-gen consoles and PC, has only intensified this anticipation.

Rumors of an MGS4 remake intensified last year after placeholder buttons for MGS4, MGS5, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker appeared on Konami's official timeline. IGN reported these titles as likely candidates for Master Collection Vol. 2, although Konami has yet to confirm this.

Further fueling speculation, David Hayter, the English voice actor for Solid Snake, hinted at his involvement in an MGS4-related project last November.

Currently, Konami remains tight-lipped regarding the contents and release plans for MGS Master Collection Vol. 2 and any potential MGS4 remake. However, the hints dropped suggest a significant announcement may be imminent.
