Long awaited by players across PC and console platforms, crossplay is finally coming to Baldur's Gate 3 with Patch 8! While a firm release date isn't set, a Patch 8 Stress Test will give select players early access to this and other features in January 2025.

When Can I Play Baldur's Gate 3 Crossplay?

Patch 8, which includes crossplay, lacks an official release date. However, a stress test in January 2025 will allow a limited number of players to experience crossplay functionality ahead of the full launch. This test helps Larian Studios identify and fix bugs before the wider release.

How to Join the Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 Stress Test

Want early access to crossplay? Sign up for the Patch 8 Stress Test! It's open to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players. Simply complete Larian's Stress Test Registration form. You'll need a Larian account—create one or log in if you already have one. The registration process is quick and requires basic player information, including your gaming platform.

Important Note: Registration doesn't guarantee selection. Chosen players receive an email with further instructions. Selected participants can provide feedback via feedback forms and Discord.

The stress test also assesses the patch's impact on mods. Modders and players who rely heavily on mods should register to help ensure compatibility.
