Gacha game enthusiasts are always keen on monitoring the financial performance of various titles within the genre. The latest financial data for January 2025 has just been released, shedding light on the market's dynamics.
Last month, Genshin Impact rolled out a significant update featuring the pyro archon, Mawuika, which undoubtedly captured the community's attention. The impact of this update was evident in the game's financials, as miHoYo's (HoYoverse) flagship title saw its revenue soar to $99.4 million, doubling its earnings from December 2024's $45.6 million.

In the rankings, Pokemon TCG secured the second spot with revenues of $64 million, while the beloved "female gacha" game, Love and Deepspace, clinched the third position with $55.2 million in earnings.
On the other hand, Honkai Star Rail experienced a decline, earning $50.8 million. Meanwhile, Zenless Zone Zero's earnings were cut in half, dropping from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.
It's important to note that these rankings only reflect earnings from mobile platforms, although some games, such as those from miHoYo, are also available on PC. Additionally, a clarification on the calculation method is provided: "Since Google Play does not exist in China, the estimates published for Android data in China are determined using a multiplier based on iOS revenue in the country."
