Hades 2 Set for Exclusive Release on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

Hades 2 is set to make its mark on the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 as a timed console exclusive. While an exact release date remains under wraps, developer Supergiant has confirmed that fans can expect the highly anticipated sequel to launch simultaneously on PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and the original Nintendo Switch later this year.

The announcement came after last week's Nintendo Direct, which teased Hades 2's arrival on the beefed-up Switch 2. Supergiant has since clarified that the game will not only be available on both Switch models but will also enjoy a period of exclusivity on Nintendo's consoles.

As for other consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, the timeline for Hades 2's release remains uncertain.

Hades 2 builds on the success of its predecessor, blending captivating storytelling with roguelite action in an immersive dungeon-crawling experience. IGN's Hades 2 early-access review praised the game, awarding it a 9/10 and stating, "Hades 2 feels impossibly huge and unbelievably polished by any standard, much less an early access game. Mel is awesome, the new tweaks to the combat and progression are excellent, and it's just unbelievably feature packed with twice the content of the first. What’s here right out of the gate is astounding, and the thought of more coming on the way is a tantalizing treat."
