Compared to the previous generation, the RTX 5070 offers performance similar to the RTX 4070 Super. Although we hoped for a more significant generational leap in raw performance, the RTX 4070 Super was already an excellent choice for 1080p and 1440p gaming, launching at $599.99—just $10 less than this Gigabyte 5070 model. However, finding an RTX 4070 Super GPU at this price point is now nearly impossible. The RTX 5070 not only looks and performs better than the RTX 4070 Super in games that support DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation but is also more future-proof, thanks to potential improvements through driver optimizations.
