Partner/Indie World Showcase: A Bounty of Announcements

Nintendo's strategy of combining smaller Direct-style showcases proved effective, delivering a wave of announcements. Highlights include several surprise releases (detailed below), Capcom Fighting Collection 2, the Suikoden I & II remasters, Yakuza Kiwami, Tetris Forever, MySims, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition, new entries in the Atelier and Rune Factory franchises, and much more. I highly recommend watching the full video; it's worth your time!

Castlevania Dominus Collection ($24.99)

A third Castlevania compilation joins the fray, courtesy of a surprise Direct announcement. This collection features the three Nintendo DS titles: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. It also includes the infamous arcade game, Haunted Castle, along with an M2-developed remake that significantly improves upon the original. This release offers exceptional emulation and a wealth of features, making it an incredible value.

Pizza Tower ($19.99)

This Wario Land-inspired platformer sprints onto the Switch scene as another Direct surprise. Players must conquer five massive floors of the Pizza Tower to save their restaurant. Fans of Wario's handheld adventures will appreciate this title, but even those without strong Wario nostalgia who enjoy platformers should give it a try. A review is pending.

Goat Simulator 3 ($29.99)

The surprise releases continue! It's Goat Simulator 3. If you're familiar with the series, you know what to expect. While performance on the Switch remains to be seen (more powerful systems have shown some hiccups), the chaotic, humorous nature of the game might even complement any potential performance issues. An open world of goat-based mayhem awaits – your Switch might not appreciate it, though.

Peglin ($19.99)

While it's easy to speculate about missed opportunities, EA's decision to keep PopCap's games off the Switch feels like a major oversight. Thankfully, Peglin fills that void for Peggle fans. This mobile hit now graces the Switch, seamlessly blending Peggle mechanics with turn-based RPG roguelite elements. A review is coming soon.

Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story ($20.00)

Kairosoft adds a fresh twist to its shop simulation formula by incorporating the beloved Doraemon franchise. Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story delivers a standard Kairosoft experience with charming Doraemon characters and even cameos from the manga artist's other works. A cute and enjoyable addition.

Pico Park 2 ($8.99)

More Pico Park for existing fans! Supporting up to eight players locally or online, this cooperative puzzle game thrives on teamwork. While not dramatically different from the first game, it's a solid sequel.

Kamitsubaki City Ensemble ($3.99)

An affordable rhythm game showcasing Kamitsubaki Studio's music. Simple but enjoyable for its price point.

SokoPenguin ($4.99)

A classic Sokoban-style puzzle game starring a penguin. One hundred levels of crate-pushing await.

Q2 Humanity ($6.80)

Over three hundred quirky physics-based puzzles. Players use character abilities and drawing mechanics to solve problems, with up to four-player local and online multiplayer.
