Floatopia Is Coming To Android, And It Has Strong Animal Crossing Energy

NetEase Games unveiled its charming life simulation game, Floatopia, at Gamescom. Expected to launch on multiple platforms, including Android, sometime in 2025, Floatopia offers a whimsical world of floating islands and unique characters. The game's trailer depicts a picturesque setting where players can engage in farming, fishing, and island decorating.

A Cute Apocalypse

The game's premise involves a world-ending event, but fear not! This apocalypse is more akin to "My Time at Portia" than "Fallout." Players inhabit a sky-bound world of fragmented landmasses and individuals with diverse, and sometimes unusual, superpowers.

As the Island Manager, players will enjoy activities familiar to fans of "Animal Crossing" and "Stardew Valley," such as cultivating crops, cloud fishing, and meticulously designing their floating home. The ability to travel to new locations and meet diverse characters adds an adventurous element.

Social interaction is a key feature, with opportunities for shared adventures, island parties, and showcasing one's island creation. However, multiplayer is optional, allowing for a solitary experience if preferred.

The game features a colorful cast of characters, each with their own unique personalities and superpowers.

While a precise release date remains unconfirmed, pre-registration is available on the official website.
