Highlights of Escape from Tarkov 0.16.0.0 Update

Battlestate Games introduces the "Khorovod" event, featuring special tasks and rewards, along with a unique game mode. Players must light and protect a Christmas tree in six different locations.

A highly anticipated addition is the "Prestige" system, mirroring mechanics found in titles like Call of Duty. Level 55 players, upon completing specific quests and accumulating sufficient resources, can reset their character, retaining some gear and earning unique rewards unaffected by wipes. These rewards include achievements, cosmetic items, and additional tasks. Currently, two prestige levels are available, with eight more planned.

Further notable changes include:

• Engine Upgrade: Transition to the Unity 2022 engine.
• Frostbite Status Effect: A new cold-related status effect impacting vision and stamina. Alcohol, warmth, and shelter provide relief.
