Crunchyroll's Android app now features Kardboard Kings, a captivating single-player card shop management game. Originally launched on PC in February 2022, this title from Henry's House, Oscar Brittain, and Rob Gross (published by Akupara Games) has made its way to consoles and now mobile devices via Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll members can download it for free.

The Kardboard Kings Experience:

Players step into the shoes of Harry Hsu, inheriting his father's card shop. His father, a renowned card collector and Warlock champion, leaves Harry to navigate the exciting world of card buying, selling, and trading.

Harry's business partner? Giuseppe, a quick-witted cockatoo with an uncanny ability to spot profitable deals. Together, they run their seaside card shop, striving to satisfy customers (or, if the mood strikes, cleverly overcharging them!).

The game boasts charming characters with witty dialogue, referencing other card games and anime. Over 100 unique card designs, complete with quirky illustrations and shiny variants, add to the appeal.

Gameplay Mechanics:

The core gameplay is simple: buy low, sell high. However, as the game progresses, card conditions and set rarities fluctuate, influencing value alongside factors like foil finishes and card popularity.

Kardboard Kings also includes a roguelite deck-building mode on Card Game Island. This mode allows players to challenge skilled duelists, host tournaments, organize booster pack parties, and even hold clearance sales.
