SPOILER WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Yasuke’s personal story, as well as the involvement of the Templar in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Recommended Videos After Yasuke hears rumors of "worse men" from his past being active in Japan, the Yasuke’s Past quests will require players to complete the Templar Hunt Objective Board. Here’s how and where to find every Templar target in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, starting with Kimura Kei.

How to Find the Templar Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Your first clue to locate Kimura Kei comes from a ronin contact in Kii. You can find him in central Nakahechi Route at the inn in Takahara Village. If you need to pinpoint his exact location, consider using Scouts. Look for the building marked with green flags, nestled next to a cherry blossom tree. Inside, you'll meet a ronin dressed in Oda Clan attire. Speak with him, and he'll direct you to find a recruiter named Kumabe Ujiie.

Where to Find Kumabe Ujiie

Kumabe Ujiie is situated in the northern part of Kii, specifically at a cemetery in Koyasan, northeast of the Kongobuji Temple. You'll spot him walking with his ronin escort, but avoid engaging them. Approach and select the “I seek guidance” dialogue option. Follow him, and he will eventually reveal Kimura Kei's location.

How and Where to Assassinate Kimura Kei

Kimura Kei's Training Grounds are located in the southwestern part of Kii, just north of the shore, midway between Sazae Oni Shores and Nakahechi Route. Upon arriving, blend in with the students to reach Kimura Kei. He will recognize Yasuke and order his students to attack. Be prepared to face waves of ronin as you approach Kimura Kei. Equip your best armor and weapons, and don't forget to use the strategically placed explosive red barrels to clear groups of enemies.

The confrontation with Kimura Kei triggers a boss fight where stealth assassination isn't an option. Equip armor with an engraving that allows you to parry unblockable attacks, as Kimura Kei will employ many of these. The fight unfolds in multiple phases. In the first phase, he wields a standard Katana. Parry his attacks to make him vulnerable, then use posture attacks and abilities to break his armor. As the fight progresses to the second phase, he switches to a Long Katana and a standard Katana, increasing the frequency of unblockable attacks. Focus on dodging and striking opportunistically.

Once Kimura Kei's health drops to about half, the fight shifts outside. Here, he unleashes high-damage unblockable attacks with both Katana. Dodge frequently and maintain distance when needed. Using a bow or teppo to attack from afar can be highly effective.

Every Reward for Killing Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Defeating Kimura Kei grants 3,000 XP, some Mon, and the Templar-themed Destroyer Samurai Armor and Helmet. The armor comes with an engraving that reduces the impact of enemy attacks, while the helmet boosts Yasuke’s damage by 10% for every 10% of his health missing.

How to Find the Silver Queen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

After defeating the Shinbakufu, the Silver Queen appears on the Templar Board, aiding the Portuguese in their pillaging of Tamba. To reach her, you'll need to speak with several contacts, starting with a spy.

Where to Find and Talk to The Spy

Head to Southeast Tamba in the Silver Lands to find the spy. He'll be seated on a rug under a small structure near a wooden cart and crates. After speaking with him, he'll reveal the Silver Queen's location.

Where to Meet the Silver Queen

Locate the Silver Queen in the town of Tada, just northeast of the Tada Kakurega. She'll be conversing with Portuguese soldiers. Approach her, engage in conversation, and follow her to her house for tea. You'll then awaken in the Tada Silver Mine.

How to Escape from Tada Silver Mine

Upon waking from the drugged tea in a locked room within the Tada Silver Mine, break the door by sprinting into it. After dealing with the alerted guards, choose between fighting or sneaking out. Sneaking is the quicker and safer option. Head southwest out of the mine, eliminating any enemies in your path.

How to Locate Akechi Mitsuyoshi

To proceed, the Silver Queen requires Yasuke to help rescue her brother, Akechi Mitsuyoshi, in exchange for information on Yasuke's true target. Head north to Kameyama Castle after escaping the mine. If you need supplies, visit the Kakurega north of Senneji Temple in Kameyama.

Activate Pathfinder and navigate through Kameyama Castle, eliminating guards as you follow the suggested path. Inside the living quarters, you'll find a bleeding servant who will give you a key to the castle’s Tenshu.

How to Free Akechi Mitsuyoshi and Retrieve His Katana

With the key in hand, enter the main castle building under the Viewpoint and unlock the marked door to free Akechi Mitsuyoshi. Follow him as he escapes, using your bow or teppo to clear distant threats. After his escape, return to the castle to retrieve his Katana from Baltazar, who is surrounded by soldiers. Defeat them first for a one-on-one fight. Use abilities and posture attacks to break Baltazar’s guard and deal significant damage.

Once Baltazar is defeated and the Katana retrieved, head north to Atago Shrine. Speak with Akechi Mitsuyoshi and follow him to the Shrine to learn the location of your next target.

How to Find and Assassinate Nuno Caro

Yasuke’s ultimate target, Nuno Caro, is preparing to leave Japan and can be found in Western Tamba at Takeda Castle. This castle is perched high on a mountain, accessible via a winding road. Use Pathfinder to navigate the most direct route.

Takeda Castle is heavily guarded with numerous enemies and alarm bells. Since stealth is challenging for Yasuke, disable these bells using your bow or teppo. As you ascend, you'll reach double doors that initiate the encounter with Nuno Caro. Clear his men as you ascend the castle to reach him at the top, triggering a boss fight.

Nuno Caro fights similarly to his soldiers, using a sword and pistol. His sword attack is a combo of up to four swipes, which you can block or parry. When his pistol glows red, dodge to avoid the shot. Employ abilities to deal significant damage and create openings for attacks until he is defeated. With Nuno Caro's demise, the Templar Hunt Objective Board is completed.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available from March 20th on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
