"Code Geass: Lost Stories to End Global Mobile Run Soon!"

Fans of the strategic tower defense game, *Code Geass: Lost Stories*, will soon have to bid farewell as the global version is set to shut down. The game, which draws inspiration from the renowned anime and manga series *Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion*, will continue its journey in Japan despite the global closure. Sunrise, the creator of the original manga, partnered with f4samurai and DMM Games for development, and Komoe for publishing. Launched globally in September 2023, the game unfortunately won't celebrate its first anniversary.

When Is It Shutting Down?

*Code Geass: Lost Stories* will cease operations on August 29th, 2024. Players have a limited window to enjoy the game before access to their accounts is permanently cut off. The game's official global social media accounts will also shut down on the same date. As of now, downloads and in-game purchases have been disabled. Although the game didn't thrive globally, it retains a dedicated following in Japan.

Why Is Code Geass: Lost Stories Shutting Down?

Despite blending RPG and action elements with tower defense mechanics, and being based on a beloved anime, *Code Geass: Lost Stories* is closing its global servers. The developers have not provided specific reasons, but the game's low download numbers and lack of positive reviews globally hint at the underlying issues. Licensed anime gacha games often face challenges maintaining an international player base, particularly outside Japan, where engagement and spending tend to be higher. Thus, the early shutdown of *Code Geass: Lost Stories* comes as no surprise.

For those in Japan interested in experiencing the game, it remains available on the Google Play Store. Before you go, don't miss out on our latest news update: *Sky: Children Of The Light* is launching its own Olympics event, the Tournament Of Triumph!
