Borderlands 4 Release Date Confirmed

Gearbox Software has officially announced the release date for Borderlands 4: September 23, 2025. The news, revealed during the latest State of Play presentation by Gearbox president Randy Pitchford, was accompanied by a new trailer showcasing exciting gameplay features.

To further build anticipation, Gearbox also revealed a dedicated Borderlands 4 State of Play presentation scheduled for this spring. This upcoming showcase promises an in-depth look at new gameplay mechanics and, of course, a plethora of fresh weaponry.

While specific story details remain under wraps, the lead writer previously hinted at a potential shift away from the series' reliance on "toilet humor" in previous installments. Whether Borderlands 4 adopts a more mature tone remains to be seen.
