As we gear up for Gamescom 2024, Geoff Keighley took to his Twitter (X) account to share that the Opening Night Live (ONL) will not only bring updates on previously teased titles but also introduce completely new games to the gaming community. This year's ONL, which kicks off Gamescom, is slated for a livestream at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET on August 20, accessible via official streaming channels.

While we already know about anticipated titles such as CoD: Black Ops 6, MH Wilds, Civ 7, MARVEL Rivals, Dune Awakening, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the event promises to unveil games that have yet to see the light of day.

Keighley also teased the first gameplay reveals for Don’t Nod's upcoming interactive adventure, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, and a fresh trailer for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 from Warhorse Studios. Moreover, THQ Nordic is set to reveal a new project from Tarsier Studios, the minds behind the critically acclaimed Little Nightmares series.

For fans of the Call of Duty franchise, the event is set to be particularly thrilling with the first-ever campaign playthrough of Black Ops 6 slated to be showcased live. This was shared by the host on Twitter (X).

While Nintendo has announced they won't be attending Gamescom this year, The Pokémon Company will make their presence felt as a "line-up highlight" at the event.
