Sony has unveiled an exciting lineup of PlayStation Plus Essential titles for April 2025, featuring RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PS4, PS5), and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4). These titles were announced through a PlayStation.Blog post and will be available to subscribers starting April 1, until the next refresh on May 5.

The April 2025 selection caters to a wide range of gaming preferences. RoboCop: Rogue City, developed by Teyon and Nacon, stands out as a first-person shooter that immerses players in the role of Alex Murphy, tasked with cleaning up a crime-ridden Detroit. A significant update in January of the previous year introduced a New Game Plus mode, enhancing the replay value of this title, which received a commendable 7/10 in our review.

For those seeking intense multiplayer action, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre by Sumo Digital and Gun Media offers an asymmetrical experience where players either hunt or evade the Slaughter Family. This game provides a thrilling, albeit technically challenging, experience, earning a 6/10 in our review.

Rounding out the trio, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory from Bandai Namco provides a more relaxed pace with its turn-based gameplay and over 320 Digimon to collect, offering a fresh perspective on the original Cyber Sleuth story.

As these titles join the PlayStation Plus lineup, it's a reminder for players to download the March 2025 titles—Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection—before they are replaced on March 31. Whether you're a long-time subscriber or considering joining, this is an excellent opportunity to expand your gaming library.
