AFK Journey Character Tier List: A Guide to Building Your Optimal Team

AFK Journey boasts a large roster of characters, making team building challenging. This tier list helps you choose the best heroes for various game modes. Remember, most characters are viable, but some excel in endgame content. This list prioritizes versatility, overall performance in PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP.

S-Tier: Top-Tier Performers

This tier houses the must-have characters, excelling across various game modes. Lily May is a standout Wilder, offering incredible damage and utility. Thoran remains a top F2P tank, while Reinier is a crucial support for PvE and PvP (especially Dream Realm and Arena). Koko, Smokey & Meerky are essential supports for most game modes, and Odie shines in Dream Realm and PvE. Eironn, with Damien and Arden, forms a dominant Arena team. Tasi provides excellent crowd control for the Wilder faction, and Harak is a powerful late-game Hypogean/Celestial warrior.

A-Tier: Strong Contenders

This tier includes highly effective characters, often excelling in specific areas. Lyca and Vala utilize the crucial Haste stat effectively. Antandra is a solid alternative tank to Thoran. Viperian complements a Graveborn core with energy drain and AoE attacks (though less effective in Dream Realm). Alsa is a strong DPS mage, particularly effective with Eironn in PvP. Phraesto offers substantial tanking but lacks damage. Ludovic is a powerful Graveborn healer, synergizing well with Talene and excelling in PvP. Cecia, while still a capable Marksman, has been downgraded due to meta shifts. Sonja provides significant improvements to the Lightborne faction.

B-Tier: Solid but Replaceable

These characters are useful for filling roles, especially early game. Valen and Brutus are strong early-game DPS options. Granny Dahnie is a decent substitute tank. Arden and Damien are PvP meta mainstays, less effective in other modes. Florabelle is a secondary DPS supporting Cecia. Soren is decent in PvP but outclassed elsewhere. Korin's effectiveness has decreased in Dream Realm.

C-Tier: Early Game Only

These characters are quickly outclassed in the late game. While useful early on, they should be replaced with stronger A or S-tier heroes as soon as possible. Parisa, despite having a powerful AoE attack, is easily replaced.

This tier list is a guideline. Continue to evaluate your team composition based on your progress and the evolving meta. Check back for updates as new heroes are added and existing ones are adjusted.
