Dexcom G6 and G6 Pro Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) Systems: Your Real-Time Glucose Companion

The Dexcom G6 and G6 Pro CGM Systems offer continuous glucose monitoring, eliminating the need for fingerstick calibration and providing real-time glucose readings every five minutes for individuals with type 1 or type 2 diabetes (age 2 and up). These systems are designed to assist in diabetes management decisions, but fingerstick testing is still recommended if symptoms don't align with the CGM readings.

Key features include:

• Real-time Glucose Data: Stay informed about your glucose levels and their trends, helping you proactively manage your diabetes.

• Customizable Alerts: Receive personalized alerts when glucose levels are too high or low. The Alert Schedule feature lets you set different alert parameters for various times of the day (not available on the G6 Pro). Choose from a variety of alert sounds, including a vibrate-only option. Note that the Urgent Low Alarm cannot be disabled.

• Always Sound Feature: Receive critical alerts even if your phone is on silent, vibrate, or Do Not Disturb mode. This ensures you're always notified of urgent situations, such as Urgent Low glucose levels, Transmitter/Sensor failure, or app stoppage.

• Data Sharing: Share your glucose data in real time with up to ten followers using the Dexcom Follow app (requires internet connection).

• Health Connect Integration: Share historical glucose data with other compatible health apps.

• Quick Glance: Conveniently view your glucose levels directly on your device's lock screen.

• Wear OS Integration: Receive glucose alerts and alarms on your Wear OS smartwatch.

Fingersticks may be required for diabetes management decisions if symptoms do not match CGM readings. Not available on Dexcom G6 Pro System.
