ArtClash: A Daily Drawing & Sketching App (WIP)

ArtClash isn't Sketchbook, Photoshop, Procreate, or Infinite Painter. It's a unique social drawing app designed to foster daily creative practice. Currently in early access, ArtClash offers a fun, competitive way to improve your drawing, sketching, and cartooning skills.

Core Gameplay:

Choose from a variety of topics (ranging in difficulty from single words to five-word phrases), optionally add constraints (time limit, color palette, canvas size), create your artwork, and earn points based on successful guesses from other players. Alternatively, enjoy free drawing mode and share your creations.

This is a solo project, built to help my wife and I maintain a daily drawing habit and inspire others to do the same.

Current Features:

• Versatile Painting Tools: Sketch, paint, and blend with ease.
• Image Import & Tracing: Use reference images or paint directly over them.
• Competitive Drawing Games: Participate in themed challenges and earn points for correct guesses.
• Adjustable Difficulty: Six levels of topic complexity.
• Challenge Constraints: Add time, color, or canvas size limitations for extra points.
• Community Sharing: Share your artwork with other users.
• NSFW Filtering: Control the visibility of NSFW content.

Early Access Limitations:

• UI Refinements: The current Unity UI is undergoing a significant overhaul to XAML for improved responsiveness.
• Performance Optimization: Large canvases (over 1024x1024) may impact performance on lower-end devices. Engine optimization is planned.

Future Development:

• Expanded Game Modes: Addition of games like "telephone" using drawings.
• Enhanced Social Features: Avatars, comments, friend lists, and follower functionality.
• Improved Performance & UI: Addressing current UI and brush engine limitations.
• Advanced Tools: Marquee selection, transform tools, and an expanded brush library (with user-submitted brushes).
• Layer Enhancements: Improvements to the layer system, including locking transparent pixels and masking.
• Community Feedback System: A dedicated system for feature requests, bug reports, and community voting.
• Moderation System: Community moderators to manage flagged content.
• User-Submitted Content: Moderated submission of topics and constraints.
• Long-Term Vision: Expansion to include full image editing, animation, scripting, and game/storyboard prototyping.

ArtClash is not intended as a complete image editing suite in its current state. The focus is on fostering a fun and competitive environment to encourage daily artistic practice.
