Updated on December 24, 2024, by Nahda Nabiilah: Tier lists in games with frequently updated rosters evolve with the meta. For instance, when ZZZ launched, Grace was a standout due to her Anomaly-building capabilities, especially when paired with other Anomaly characters. However, with the introduction of new Anomaly units, Grace's prominence has waned, particularly with the rise of the overpowering Miyabi. Thus, this Zenless Zone Zero tier list has been revised to reflect the current meta and character standings.

S-Tier

S-Tier characters in Zenless Zone Zero are the cream of the crop, excelling in their roles and synergizing seamlessly with other units.

Miyabi

Miyabi stands out as one of the premier characters in ZZZ, known for her rapid Frost attacks and devastating damage output. While she requires some setup to fully unleash her potential, mastering her mechanics allows players to dominate the battlefield.

Jane Doe

Jane Doe outshines Piper as an Anomaly-focused character in ZZZ. Her ability to Crit her Assault Anomaly significantly boosts her damage, making her a formidable force despite the slower pace of Anomaly-based combat.

Yanagi

Yanagi's unique ability to trigger Disorder without needing to apply Shock on top of another Anomaly makes her a valuable asset. She excels in teams with other Anomaly characters, particularly Miyabi, enhancing their combat effectiveness.

Zhu Yuan

Zhu Yuan is a top-tier DPS in ZZZ, excelling with her swift Shotshells. Her versatility allows her to pair well with Stun and Support characters, with Qingyi and Nicole being her ideal teammates for maximizing her Ether damage potential.

Caesar

Caesar redefines the role of a Defense Agent in ZZZ. Beyond offering robust protection, she provides significant buffs and debuffs, scales with Impact for easy stuns, and even has crowd control abilities, solidifying her position as a top-tier support.

Qingyi

Qingyi is a versatile Stunner who complements any squad with an Attack Agent. Her fluid movements and ability to quickly build Daze, coupled with a massive DMG multiplier on stunned enemies, make her a vital part of many team compositions.

Lighter

Lighter is a Stun Agent with impressive buffs, particularly effective with Fire and Ice characters. His synergy with powerful units of these attributes places him high on the ZZZ tier list.

Lycaon

Lycaon, an Ice unit specializing in Stun, excels in reducing enemies' Ice resistance and boosting allies' Daze DMG. His charged attacks are crucial for Anomaly reactions, making him indispensable in Ice-centric teams.

Ellen

Ellen, an Attack Agent utilizing Ice, synergizes exceptionally well with Lycaon and Soukaku. Her ability to deliver powerful hits, especially after Lycaon's stuns and Soukaku's buffs, places her at the pinnacle of the ZZZ tier list.

Harumasa

Harumasa, an S-Rank Electric-Attack character, was once offered for free. His powerful hits, contingent on specific conditions, make him a valuable addition to any team.

Soukaku

Soukaku, a Support in Zenless Zone Zero, enhances Ice teams with her buffs and Anomaly-building capabilities. Her synergy with Ellen and Lycaon makes her an essential buffer in the game.

Rina

As a Support, Rina not only deals significant damage but also boosts her allies' PEN, allowing them to bypass enemy defenses. Her focus on Shock Anomaly and PEN Ratio makes her a crucial ally for Electric characters.

A-Tier

A-Tier characters in Zenless Zone Zero are highly effective in specific team compositions and reliable in their roles.

Nicole

Nicole, an Ether Support, excels at pulling enemies into energy fields, benefiting AoE units like Nekomata. Her ability to shred enemy DEF and boost Ether DMG makes her a valuable asset, though her effectiveness is limited to Ether DPS units.

Seth

Seth is an excellent shielder and support, though not on par with top-tier buffers like Soukaku and Caesar. His niche role in supporting Anomaly DPS units positions him well, albeit with limitations.

Lucy

Lucy, a Support unit, provides off-field damage and a significant ATK% buff to the team. Her synergy with other characters to activate her Additional Ability increases her DPS potential.

Piper

Piper's strength lies in her EX Special Attack, which is one of the best in Zenless Zone Zero. Her ability to trigger Assault and build Physical Anomaly makes her a great fit in Anomaly-focused teams.

Grace

Grace remains a strong Anomaly character, capable of quickly Shocking enemies and triggering Disorder. While still relevant, the introduction of new Anomaly Agents has shifted her position on the tier list.

Koleda

Koleda is a reliable Fire/Stun character, swiftly building enemies' Daze. Her synergy with Ben enhances her combat effectiveness, making her a versatile choice for various team compositions.

Anby

Anby is appreciated for her comedic timing in the story, but she's also a reliable Stun unit. Her quick and effective combos are valuable, though her susceptibility to interruptions holds her back compared to other Stun Agents.

Soldier 11

Soldier 11 is straightforward, dealing significant damage with her Fire-infused attacks. While easy to play, her mechanics don't offer much complexity, making her a solid but basic choice.

B-Tier

B-Tier characters in Zenless Zone Zero offer value but are often outshined by others in similar roles.

Ben

Ben, the only defensive character in ZZZ 1.0, offers fun gameplay with his parry and punish mechanics. However, his slow combat and limited benefits outside his Crit Rate buff and shield make him less desirable compared to dodging-focused strategies.

Nekomata

Nekomata, an Attack unit, deals significant AoE damage but heavily relies on her team for optimal performance. Her potential is limited by the current roster, though future updates may improve her standing.

C-Tier

C-Tier characters in Zenless Zone Zero currently offer little to enhance team compositions.

Corin

Corin, a Physical DMG dealer, excels at dealing continuous damage to Stunned enemies. However, she is overshadowed by more effective Physical Attack units like Nekomata and Piper.

Billy

Billy, known for his loud and frequent attacks, struggles to deliver substantial damage. While he fits well in quick-swap teams, other DPS characters outperform him.

Anton

Anton's Core Skill allows for continuous Shock damage, but his overall DPS is lacking. As a single-target unit, his effectiveness is limited, making him less desirable in the current meta.
