Warhammer 40k Tacticus, Warpforge Reveal New Factions

This year's Warhammer Skulls event has delivered an overwhelming amount of fresh content across the franchise. Major reveals include new game announcements, expansions, and substantial updates coming to existing Warhammer titles. Mobile gamers in particular have two exciting faction additions to look forward to - the Adeptus Custodes in Tacticus and the Emperor's Children in Warpforge.

Command the Emperor's Finest

Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus is expanding its faction roster with the elite Adeptus Custodes - the God-Emperor's personal guardians. These gold-clad warriors represent the pinnacle of the Imperium's genetic engineering, boasting superior strength, resilience and weaponry compared to standard Space Marines.

Players can experience these elite warriors through a new Legendary Survival Event launching May 24th. Leading the charge will be Trajann Valoris, a tanky commander capable of absorbing punishment while dishing out devastating counterattacks.

The Emperor's Fallen Children Await

Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge takes players in a decidedly darker direction with the introduction of the Emperor's Children. Once proud warriors of the Imperium, these fallen Space Marines embraced the corruption of Slaanesh during the Horus Heresy, becoming obsessed with sensation, excess, and pushing limits.

This depraved faction features three distinctive warlords: Lord Kaphrael (leader of the sadistic Callous Blades), the arrogant Xarahan, and the eternally returning duelist Lucius. Their gameplay mechanics reflect their twisted nature:

• Ecstasy: Triggers effects when unit health drops below thresholds
• Cruelty: Rewards wounding enemies without finishing them
• Stimulation: Activates when targeted by stratagems
• Combat Elixirs: Generates additional stratagem cards

These Slaaneshi devotees are now available through booster packs and DLC. Completing the initial campaign mission also rewards players with a complete starter deck. Watch their reveal trailer for a taste of their debauched gameplay.
