Walmart defies Xbox controller price hike

Microsoft increased pricing for Xbox consoles, games, and accessories earlier this year. However, if you waited to purchase a new Xbox controller, Walmart's competing sales event now offers tempting deals.

The retailer currently provides some of the most affordable Xbox controllers available, including discounted Elite Series 2 and Core models. The standout deal is the striking Shock Blue variant priced at just $46.50, with additional discounts on standard black, Robot White, and special Pulse Cipher editions.

During Prime Day, Amazon beat competitors' pricing for the standard black Xbox controller at $49.99, becoming the second-best deal after Walmart's Shock Blue offer.

The Elite Series 2 Core Wireless controller now costs $124.90 (originally $139.99), while the complete Elite Series 2 and new DOOM: The Dark Ages edition are priced at $155.99 and $74 respectively.

The Pulse Cipher model sees a $10 discount, and the Elite Series 2 Core features customizable buttons, adjustable triggers, and preset storage. The full Elite Series 2 version includes premium accessories and a charging case.

Collectors should consider the DOOM Limited Edition controller - currently 37% off - featuring rare blood-spatter detailing.

These controllers deliver excellent performance for both Xbox and PC gaming setups.
