Urshifu Debuts at Pokémon GO Battle Week with Gigantamax Machamp

As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, trainers are gearing up for an exciting finale with the Final Strike: GO Battle Week. Kicking off on May 21st, 2025, and running through to May 27th, this event marks the culmination of your journey with Kubfu, offering a chance to evolve it into the legendary Urshifu in two distinct styles: Single Strike and Rapid Strike.

What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?

After weeks of dedication, it's time to see your efforts pay off by evolving Kubfu into Urshifu. To unlock the Single Strike style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style during Final Strike: GO Battle Week, follow the same steps but target 30 Water-type Pokémon instead.

Additionally, a Special Research will be available, continuing the season's storyline. This research, accessible until June 3rd, 2025, offers rewards like Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon, including Charcadet with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Gigantamax Machamp will debut in six-star Max Battles. During this event, trainers will benefit from several bonuses:

• Travel just one-fourth the normal distance to earn Max Particles.
• Increased Max Particle storage limit to 1,600.
• All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles.
• Earn 8× Max Particles from Power Spots during the event.
• Receive two extra Special Trades.

Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can stack multiple mushrooms to extend the duration, although the damage boost remains constant.
