Tribe Nine Ends EOS Support Shortly After Global Launch

Akatsuki Games has made a surprising announcement about the end of service (EOS) for their latest game, Tribe Nine. Launched just a few months ago in February across Android, iOS, and PC via Steam, the game is already facing its demise. Let's delve into the details and explore the reasons behind this unexpected shutdown.

When Is the Tribe Nine EOS?

Tribe Nine will officially cease operations on November 27th, 2025. In conjunction with this news, Akatsuki Games has confirmed that Chapter 4 of the main story will not be released. This is particularly disappointing as the game had recently teased exciting developments in the narrative. Since May 15th, all planned updates, new features, bug fixes, and content releases have been canceled. Any promised adjustments or new features mentioned in earlier in-game notices are now off the table.

Additionally, two anticipated characters, Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba, who were slated to join the game's roster, will no longer be added. Refunds for Paid Enigma Entities used on items such as Armed Support, Advanced Support, and the Support Contract – Revenio will be processed after the Revenio contract expires. Purchases of Enigma Entities and Daily Passes have been halted across both the app and web store, though players can continue using their existing Enigma Entities until the game's official shutdown.

Why Did It Fail So Soon?

Tribe Nine is a free-to-play extreme action RPG that boasts a unique style and engaging worldbuilding. Despite its quality, the game faced challenges from the outset. The release schedule was notably slow, with only one story chapter and one event launched in the first three months. Moreover, the game's monetization model didn't incentivize spending; players could build a competitive team with just one pull and didn't require duplicate characters, which, while player-friendly, was not sustainable for the developers.

It appears that the decision to incorporate a gacha system was a risky move for Tribe Nine, and unfortunately, it did not yield the desired results. Despite its imminent closure, the game remains playable until November 27th, 2025. If you're curious, you can still check it out on the Google Play Store.
