Saber Interactive continues to reassure fans that all its previously announced projects remain in active development, despite the ongoing silence surrounding major titles like the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) remake. The studio's Chief Creative Officer, Tim Willits, recently took to social media to affirm that Saber is diligently working on a diverse range of games across multiple genres.

"Saber Interactive is one of the largest independent developers in the world," Willits stated. "We are working on numerous games across many different genres. Everything that we have talked about is still in development. We will share information on upcoming games when we have something cool to share."

The most talked-about project among these is the elusive KOTOR remake. Announced back in 2021, this highly anticipated title has undergone multiple transitions, including shifts in development teams and ownership. Despite these challenges, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch confirmed in April 2024 that the game was taken with them during their split from Embracer Group and remains in active development.

"It's clear and it's obvious that we're working on this," Karch emphasized at the time. "It's been in the press numerous times. What I will say is that the game is alive and well, and we're dedicated to making sure we exceed consumer expectations."

Willits' recent statement echoes Karch's sentiments, reinforcing that the KOTOR remake is indeed still being worked on, though fans have yet to see anything beyond the initial announcement trailer.

In addition to the KOTOR remake, Saber Interactive is also progressing with other titles. Games slated for release in 2025 include John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park Survival, though specific release dates remain undisclosed. The studio is also developing a new Turok game and an untitled project based on Avatar: The Last Airbender.

The latest addition to Saber's portfolio is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3. For more details on what chapters and enemy factions might be featured in this upcoming title, be sure to check out IGN’s comprehensive coverage.
