Sonic Rumble is gearing up for an exciting pre-release crossover event that promises to bring a nostalgic touch to fans of classic Sega games. Set to launch before its official worldwide release on May 8th, this event will be accessible to players in regions where the game is currently in soft launch. From now until May 7th, participants have the opportunity to claim the Werewolf character, inspired by the iconic game Altered Beast, absolutely free.

For those who subscribe to the Sega Star Event Pass, there are even more treats in store. Subscribers can unlock the Weredragon from Altered Beast and Opa-Opa, the beloved first mascot from the arcade classic Fantasy Zone. Additionally, the in-game Ring Shop will offer characters like Upa-Upa and the Werebear for purchase, while the Red Star Ring Shop will feature AiAi and MeeMee from Super Monkey Ball, adding to the excitement and variety of characters available.

It's quite unique to see such an event happening before the game's global release, but it's sure to be a thrilling experience for those who can participate. Sega has hinted that this is just the beginning of a packed schedule of crossovers and collaborations planned for Sonic Rumble, so fans have much to look forward to.
